Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are ‘taking a break’ in the wake of Super Bowl LIX

With the NFL season now over following Super Bowl LIX, it looks as though Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are also taking a break.
No, the couple aren’t going their separate ways. Instead, it appears they are taking a step back from the spotlight after Kelce and his Kansas City Chiefs fell to the Philadelphia Eagles and Swift was booed by those in attendance.
As a result, fans think that the two will retreat to her private $17 million Rhode Island mansion and enjoy some quiet time together.
“A great place where no one can find them? Rhode Island,” wrote one fan, with another adding: “RI chill time on the schedule no doubt.”
However, that home is under renovation and won’t be completed until the end of 2025, meaning the couple might have to cozy up at another one of Swift’s properties. She has homes in Los Angeles, New York City and Nashville.
“Their lives have been a whirlwind since they first started dating. Things seem great between them, and they’re incredibly happy together,” a source told People.
Will Kelce use the time to consider his playing future?
The time away from the spotlight could help Kelce make a decision on his playing career, with rumors suggesting retirement may be on the horizon.
“I have a beautiful life,” Travis told brother Jason during the latest episode of their New Heights podcast.
“I have a beautiful life, man. I have loved ones. I have the most amazing family in the world that supports me in everything that I do, and they were all there, you know, cheering me on and hoping for the best on Sunday.”
It’s believed Travis will take his time before making a decision on whether he returns to the Chiefs next season.
“I know everybody wants to know whether or not I’m playing next year, and right now, I’m just kicking everything down the road. I’m not making any crazy decisions,” he said on the podcast.
“I’m gonna take some time to figure it out. And, I think I owe it to my teammates that if I do come back, it’s a wholehearted decision. I’m not half-a**ing it, and I’m fully here for them.”
