The confusion was ignited by Justin’s mom, Pattie Mallette, after she commented on an Instagram post by Stephen Baldwin, Hailey’s father, celebrating the couple’s pregnancy news.

In a May 9 post, Baldwin shared a black-and-white photo of Hailey, 27, and Justin, 30, with a Bible verse superimposed.

The post was warmly captioned, “Love you guys ❤️ blessed beyond words🙏🏼 praise God 👶🏼let’s get ready to have some fun y’all🎉.”

Mallette’s enthusiastic comment added to the excitement but also sparked speculation. “Congratulations Grandpa!” she wrote. “

WE ARE GONNA HAVE THE CUTEST GRAND-BABIES EVER!”

Fans quickly assumed that Mallette’s use of “grand-babies” hinted at twins. However, Mallette soon cleared up the misunderstanding.
