Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s love story has all the makings of a Hollywood blockbuster – the romance of an all-American football star and a global pop icon.

Almost a year and a half after they first went official as a couple, rumours are now swirling that Kelce is set to propose

The athlete’s team the Kansas City Chiefs are aiming to win a historic third straight Super Bowl this Sunday when they go head-to-head against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The monumental occasion has led to speculation that he could get down on one knee on game day with bookies even slashing odds.

The tight end made a bold move that ended up setting his romance with the Shake It Off hit-maker in motion.

Speaking on his New Heights podcast, which he co-hosts with brother Jason Kelce, he revealed the cute way that he had attempted to pass Swift his phone number at one of her Eras concerts.

He explained: “If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets, and I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it.”

Kelce then elaborated how he was left disappointed that he had been unable to personally give this to Swift as due to the enormity of her tour, she understandably wasn’t doing any meet and greets.

He also praised her for performing in front of a “wild” crowd at Arrowhead Stadium – aka where his team happens to play.

“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” he added, confessing that he was “a little butt-hurt” that he couldn’t chat with her.

“She doesn’t meet anybody – or at least she didn’t want to meet me, so I took it personal.”
